What actually drives the price
Four variables explain almost every difference between two quotes for “a website”.
- Scope. Number of pages or products, and how much of it is unique versus templated.
- Design. A template adapted to your brand costs a fraction of a design built from scratch — and looks it.
- Functionality. Payments, shipping, multilingual, bookings, user accounts, ERP integrations. Each is separate work.
- Content. Who writes the copy and sources the images. This is the single most common cause of both budget and timeline overruns.
The cheapest website is the one you don’t rebuild in eighteen months. Ask what a quote excludes — that’s usually where the difference hides.

Pricing questions
Why are you cheaper than a Western European agency?
Because our cost base is in Sofia, not Munich or London. The seniority and the standards are the same — salaries, office rent and overheads are not. That difference goes to you, not into a worse product.
Is the price fixed or hourly?
Fixed for defined projects — you know the number before we start. Hourly (or a monthly retainer) for open-ended work like ongoing development, marketing and maintenance. We’ll tell you which model fits your case and why.
What about VAT?
All prices exclude VAT. For EU businesses with a valid VAT number the reverse charge mechanism applies, so we invoice without VAT. For non-EU clients VAT does not apply.
Do you require payment upfront?
Typically 50% to begin and 50% on delivery. For larger projects we split it across milestones. Retainers are invoiced monthly.
What if the scope changes mid-project?
We quote the change before doing it, in writing. Nothing gets added to your invoice that you haven’t approved — this is the part clients most often get burned on elsewhere.
